Rapier and Jetex Flying

Hi Guys,

I see that there is uncertainty whether Rapier motors are still made and available. Despite my efforts to put some pundits and dealers right about this, there much misinformation out there. This is a pity. :( Rapiers are still being produced in the Czech Republic by Dr Jan Zigmund, and, at least in Europe and the UK, anyone with a bit of determination can get them.

That's the good news. The bad news is that I wouldn't really want to post them, at least outside the EU and certainly not to the USA. One can, apparently, ship loads of small computer tablet thingies with dodgy batteries but not our harmless motors.

With a little more determination one can fly genuine Jetex in the USA and elsewhere thanks to eBay.

Should anyone doubt rocket flying is alive and well, go to the jetex.org website forum and click on 'Flying'. Or do a search on YouTube!

I hope to see some of you on the SFA or jetex.org forum and maybe we can instigate a 'cook up'.

Onward and upwards,

Roger
